Today we started the day by finishing up our photoshop project and uploading it on to flickr. After that we started right into making a video and learning about various videos that are used in an education setting. We watching two videos that students from other school have made in the past and we analyzed them. We said what we like and the reactions that we got from them. One was good and showed how video making and technology can change a students life and give them something to be involved in. The second video was rather busy and had great points that not everyone learns by teachers lecturing at them.
Next, we got into groups and figured out what the main point of our video is going to be. My group chose to do the idea of recycling and focusing on Oregon itself. We decided we are going to do some interviews and add pictures, then finally do a video of us in an ocean...if it all turns out okay. We now are going to start our filming and finding pictures to add to the imovie.
We found some powerful pictures of fish stuck in plastic and plastic bottles that are filling up landfills. We are now going to interview people on our own time and come back later and put everything together. We want to video outside but are going to regroup at a later time when it is nicer outside and we are able to get better footage.
Today my group got a lot done, but we have a long way to go and will regroup next week and finish the project to make it complete and as good as we can make it.
